The May 7th release of A Life of Dreams will kick off with a celebration and book signing event on Monday, May 6th at 7:00 PM. Fans of the author who live in the Richmond, Virginia, area are invited to meet Doug, hear him read a selection from the book, enjoy an author Q&A, and purchase signed copies of A Life of Dreams. If you’d like to join us, please RSVP so we can plan for your attendance and send updates as the date approaches.

The “Secretariat Racing Into History” monument, sculpted by acclaimed artist Jocelyn Russell, stands as a remarkable tribute to the legendary Triple Crown champion in Virginia. Downtown Ashland
is home to the statue, just as it was home
to Secretariat. The monument is available to visit at the corner of England Street and Railroad Avenue on Randolph-Macon College campus in the heart of Downtown Ashland.

eats and drinks to satisfy all tastebuds.
For more than 50 years, the Hanover Arts & Activities Center has been committed to being the “Center” of the “Center of the Universe,” as the town of Ashland is affectionately called. Located on the railroad tracks that run through the heart of Ashland, Virginia, the Center is dedicated to the enrichment of our community through cultural, educational, and community activities.

Parking is available in the lots behind and beside the building, on the street in front of the building, and on the lawn if overflow parking is needed.

may only be purchased from the author directly
but will be released May 7th for purchase
